A guided, room-by-room checklist on your phone. Tap a tile, snap a photo, mark the spot. When you're done, KeyDay builds a clean defect list with photos and locations, ready to submit to your Building Service Centre.
Many owners already DIY their check. What they lack is a complete checklist and a report that doesn't look like a WhatsApp dump. KeyDay fills that gap.

Tiles, walls, doors, windows, sockets, taps, drainage. Each item says what to test and how, e.g. tap tiles for a hollow sound, pour water to check the floor trap.
Snap each defect and mark it with tape. KeyDay numbers it to match your tape label and records the room and wall.
Export the report for your BSC. After rectification, tick off each fix or flag it again, with reminders before your DLP ends.
Most owners need a careful check twice: when they collect the keys, and again when the renovation is handed over. One S$19 payment covers both.
Works for BTO, resale and condo renovations.
One line per defect, with a photo reference, exact location and status, plus your floor plan with each room labelled, so no one mixes up Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3. Easy for the BSC supervisor to follow during the joint inspection.
| # | Location | Defect | Photo | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 04 | Living · floor, near balcony door | Hollow tile (2 pcs) | IMG_04 | Reported |
| 07 | Master bath · floor trap | Water pools, slow drainage | IMG_07 | Reported |

Not if you're systematic. A 4-room flat usually takes two to three hours. The checklist tells you what to test in each room, so you don't miss the usual suspects.
Your phone, painter's tape, a marker, a phone charger to test sockets, and a bottle of water to test drainage. A tile-tapping stick helps; some BSCs lend them.
For visible and easy-to-test defects, most owners do fine on their own. For hidden issues like concealed leaks or wiring faults, a pro with specialist tools can still be worth it. KeyDay tells you when to consider one.
The renovation handover check works for any home: BTO, resale or condo. The key collection check is built for new HDB BTO flats.
They will, but it's their own work. A numbered list with photos makes it clear what still needs fixing before you pay the last instalment, which is usually around 10% of the contract.
